Wall Drug: possibly the happiest place on earth;) If Disney didn't already have that slogan, I think Wall Drug could be a contender. Okay- for most people its just a free kitschy roadside attraction...a historic drug store that has swollen to absorb nearly the whole (tiny) town of Wall, SD. Tacky and old school. But to me...its a wonderful place of nostalgia, amazing chocolate covered donuts, history, old west kitsch, childhood, and classic photo ops. What more could you want when its time to stretch your legs as you haul across South Dakota in an RV? I think its my favorite part of the trip, even though to everyone else its a stop on the way to or from the real destination.

Kitschy wood plaques: horses, tigers & lightening, wolves, dragons, unicorns, dolphins, eagles and mustangs. Thats a gold mine right there.
The nieces liked Wall Drug, too... maybe not quite as much as their auntie liz... but still :)

And as we leave town the Wall Drug 80 foot dinosaur is there to see us off.... his eyes glow red at night. Its hideous. Hahaha. I love it all.
