all-American road trip

Summer in the heartland of America- classic. My dad and I drove his beauty of an RV, known as the blue Cobra, across the state of South Dakota to meet my sister and her husband (and my darling nieces) for a weekend of camping in the Black Hills.
Its been a classic Fischer trip to the Hills- relaxing in the sunshine, too much driving on scenic winding roads, visiting all the places we remember from years and years of family trips, wading in frigid mountain streams, hiking trails to waterfalls,  picking wildflowers, and of course making a stop trip to Mount Rushmore. Its been a fun time of relaxing and enjoying family memories- both those past and those in the making. Now just a couple more days in the Hills and its another cross state journey- ah, the open road...
