Some time ago, I applied for a scholarship which required a brief introduction video and a letter; last week, the group offering the scholarship requested that I send additional material. I was asked to film myself giving a ten minute evangelistic talk on the subject "Why would God allow Suffering?" and submit the video.
When I did a practice run, my eye contact with the camera looked unnatural and I felt it distracted from the presentation. To remedy this, I invited a couple friends to sit in on the talk, but still wanted a wider scope of eye contact. So... I taped magazine pages featuring model's faces to the surrounding chairs- off camera. It was a pretty hilarious improvised studio audience, but it really did help the eye contact appear more natural!
I completed my video and submitted it by the deadline. Just waiting now to hear results, whether I have been awarded a scholarship or not. Prayers appreciated!
Thank you!
